Tools required to install
- Components supplied are label, frame, 4 screws, 5/32" drill bit and phillips-head bit.
Safety first - wear chemical resistant gloves. Clean floor where label is to be placed with isopropyl alcohol or other solvent cleaner available. For extremely dirty floors, consider using a Scotch Brite pad with degreaser.
Safety first - wear safety glasses. Position label frame on floor. Step down on one side of the frame to hold it in place. On the opposite side, drill only one 1.5" hole with the drill bit.
Tip - Mark the drill bit at 1.5" with black electrical tape to aid in establishing in drill depth.
Replace drill bit with the Phillips-head bit provided. Insert and tighten one of the concrete screws in the hole to hold the frame in place.
Replace Phillips-head bit with the drill bit and drill the three remaining holes. Re-insert the Phillips-head bit, insert and tighten the three remaining concrete screws in those holes.
Peel off back liner of the floor label exposing the pressure sensitive adhesive on the back of the label. Make sure the area inside the frame is clean and free or debris. Place the label in the frame by positioning one edge of the label against the inside edge of the frame and then pressing the rest of the label firmly in place to insure a good bond.
Tip - After time, dirt may accumulate on the surface of the label, clean its surface with isopropyl alcohol - it will look like new
Peel off cling pre-mask from both sides of the Lexan® insert. Place the Lexan insert in the frame on top of the label.
Tools required to change label
Place flat-head screw driver into the notched slot in the frame. Remove the Lexan insert. Next, work the tip of the screw driver under the edge of the label and pry up until the label dislodges.
